The Greenman Group at Expo Real 2026
From 5–7 October, the Greenman Group will be at Expo Real in Munich, Hall B3, Stand 409. This year, for the first time, we're presenting the Group as one connected idea rather than several separate ones.
A sector treated as separate problems
Grocery-anchored real estate is usually managed in parts. One team manages the property. Another the energy systems (if at all). A third measures how the building performs day to day, the footfall, the tenants, the marketing. All the tenant sees is a cost. The investor sees a valuation. Few people see the whole picture at once.
We think that's the wrong way to run these assets, and we arrived at that viewpoint by owning and operating the real estate ourselves.
Built because we needed it, not bought in
The Greenman Group's real estate business manages grocery-anchored assets across Germany, Poland and France, markets that behave very differently from one another. Running that portfolio exposed the same gaps repeatedly: energy systems we didn't control, building performance we couldn't measure, and decisions that were often based on assumptions.
Rather than buy the capabilities in to solve these problems, we built them.
Greenman Energy designs, builds, and operates PV and EV charging infrastructure, and advises on energy cost, dynamic pricing, and long-term supply. edyfi installs the sensors and hardware that show how a building and its tenants actually behave; one verified record shared between owner and occupier instead of two partial ones. Both were developed on our own portfolio, under real operating conditions, before either was offered to anyone else.
Behind it sits Greenman Investments, the Group’s alternative investment fund manager. Its case rests on the same logic: understanding a sector from the inside, by managing it, rather than analysing from a distance.
One system, not four
A retail centre works as one system, not as a building, an energy contract, a data set, and a tenant list running side by side. The energy a building uses affects its running cost. The data guides what to change, and the tenant feels the impact when trades improve. For the investor, that’s an asset that’s easier to evidence, finance, and report on. None of it works as well when the four pieces are managed separately, which is how most of the market still runs it.
That's what "For an Interconnected World" means in practice: how the Greenman Group companies actually work together, not just a slogan for a handful of names sharing a stand.
Finding what we haven't built ourselves
Building it yourself is one way of closing a gap. Knowing when someone else has already solved it better is the other, and that's the role Growing Further plays in the Group. It's our venture and innovation platform, finding early-stage companies solving real problems in real estate, energy and utilities, and connecting them to the corporates, investors and operators who can put that work to use.
At Expo Real, Growing Further is running the Spotlight, a live pitch competition on our stand. Four finalists, five minutes each, judged in front of the room, Monday for Utilities & Energy and Tuesday for Real Estate & Supply Chain.
Meet all of it in one place
For the first time, GFORM, Greenman Poland, Greenman Investments, Greenman Energy, edyfi and Growing Further will be on a single stand at Expo Real. Whichever part of the Group you already know, this is the first chance to see how it connects to the rest.
Hall B3, Stand 409, 5–7 October. We'd welcome the chance to show you around.
Connected by food.
