Potager Farm's Inaugural B2C-Sale Creates Buzz with Fast Sellout at Christmas Pop-up Event
Potager Farm, our vertical farming investment, wrapped up the year on a noteworthy achievement, successfully executing their inaugural ventures into both B2B and B2C sales. Following the positive feedback and insights garnered from gastronomic partners in an innovative pilot-project earlier in the year, Potager embarked on a strategic approach to directly engage with consumers, offering fresh, locally grown, and pesticide-free produce at their Christmas pop-up event at the Biesdorf Center in Berlin, one of Greenman OPEN’s retail centres and situated in close proximity to the vertical farm.
The shelves at the pop-up quickly ran out of their produce within the first two days, showing the level of interest and trust within the local community. Among the products were edible flowers, an assortment of salads featuring different kind of leafy greens, and mixed offers of basil, including both purple and green varieties. Aromatic herbs such as cilantro and parsley also contributed to the event's resounding success.
"We are delighted to conclude the year with such a positive response from both our business and consumer partners," expressed Andonis Sarmias, CEO of Potager Farm. "Our inaugural B2B and B2C offers not only reaffirm our commitment to quality and sustainability but also establish a robust foundation for future initiatives."
Potager Farm is already setting its sights on further advancements this year. Stay tuned for forthcoming developments as they continue to shape the future of food production.
